SPRAY & AEROSOL TECHNOLOGY: AN INTENSIVE OVERVIEW
4th & 5th May 2011
Course Code: SAT
Prior to 2008 Professor Andrew Yule organized more then 20 Short Courses on atomization and spray science and technology. They attracted nearly 600 registrants from industry, universities and research organisations in the UK and mainland Europe. This modified and updated course addresses the need for a thorough introduction to the subject and an overview of the important aspects such as atomizer design, measurement, and modelling.
It is an intensive 2-day course, held in central Manchester, that focuses exclusively on material that is of direct use to those entering the field of design, development or use of aerosol or spray systems, or to researchers who are relatively new to the subject area.
Extensively illustrated lectures are interspersed with videos, and demonstrations of instruments, sprays and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Professor Andrew Yule (Universities of Salford & Manchester), and Professor Ghasem Nasr (University of Salford), have been involved for many years in the design, application, performance characterisation and prediction of atomization and two phase flow systems and they have worked closely with many major companies. They lead the programme of lectures and demonstrations, with additional contributions from specialists in key subject areas.
